Based on the actual behavior of people, isn’t it obvious?

Most people are on there because they are addicted to the promise of finding someone perfect (of whatever type they are looking for) tomorrow. So they (meaning men) may fully have the intention of communicating, but tomorrow. Women don’t, as a rule, or can’t, respond to the onslaught of messages they receive.

Also, why shouldn’t men too get off on receiving lots of attention, a vanity fix?

And, traditional men, meaning most men, are probably cowed by a woman who takes the initiative and approaches them.
