I think it is wrong to make the argument that businesses should do something humane or non sexist on business grounds, because businesses don’t go out of business due to their sexism (the examples above), nor, as Steinem discovered in the 1970s, do they always make business decisions based on business rationales. Why are the voices of all the digital servants female by default?
