Great call to action, to go beyond the usual defensive #NotAll**People, to understand that if it isn’t about you it isn’t about you, and beyond that to putting your body on the line: white civil rights activists understood that in the 60s and 70s, then they forgot how they can use their privilege to support the rights of others.
This was my placard at the sister March in Oakland (where I was completely taken aback by the laughing joking, but still heavily armed cops who just a couple of years ago had been responsible for hospitalizing 150 Occupiers):
White people matter
When they stand in solidarity
With the rest of us.
