Haha. But seriously, this couldn’t happen when mums have to do professional stuff because they put their kids away, there is simply no dad around to do mom stuff and so the mom can’t count on the dad to take care of it.
When I was a stay at home mom, I used to take my kids to board meetings, set them up under the table and periodically pass them pens, paper, snacks, water etc under the table, they would stay there entertaining themselves for up to an hour. It wasn’t until the second meeting that most people even realized what was going on, and that was because my daughter started moving around and some one asked if we had a dog in the room.
My girls knew not to disturb their professional mom if she had her laptop open at home, but I was always accessible and interruptible and never got that “respect” when I was working from home until I trained them out of it when they were older.
