Since you are already comparing new case rates per capita between two regions, the repeated use of “alone” and “per day” is not just excessive, it is wrong.

Since it is “per capita” the size of the region doesn’t matter, whether you are comparing Waco, Texas or the American Southwest to Sindh, Pakistan or all of South Asia.

Since it is “new case rate”, and you are taking the ratio, it doesn’t matter whether it is per hour, per day or per week.

I think it will read much better without the hypey “alone”.
