I can’t find the articles or data, but one sees the same huge relative increase in administrative salaries and costs at public schools as well. So while there are calls for “teacher accountability” with wrong-headed metrics, there is no call for examining where the major increases in costs have gone - what is the marginal value added by all those administrators?

There is a pure educational cost as well - what I’ve seen are bad syllabus decisions made by administrators who are ignorant of the domain and get carried away by fluff and conference-vacations.

I stop to miau to cats.
