I thought yoga was supposed to be for everyone, not just the ex-ballet dancer/gymnast hotties. Yoga is supposed to be about “union” in the sense of dissolving the boundary between “self” and other beings, between self and the universe, not just the mind-body union, let alone the Kalisthenics with a side of Kirtan it has been trivialized to in the West.

How can people in a yoga class hope for any kind of awakening or one-ness with the universe when they are alone from their classmates, they can’t look each other in the eye, greet each other … let alone know each others names? Perhaps a quicker, cheaper approach for all these seekers would be to trip out on some LSD.

I stop to miau to cats.
