Over “number of properties owned or listed by host”, the distribution of “hosts” and the distribution of guests or properties or nights stayed can be very different. It could well be true that the majority of “hosts” only list one property, but that the majority of nights stayed occur in properties owned by a small minority of absentee investors, that guest-host interactions are rare and that Airbnb’s “enabling cultural exchange” is total fiction.
