Thank you for giving voice to my ambivalence and misgivings about the march and its sister events, like you, I attended, of course. I’ve been asking my “strong” white women friends where they were when protests took place on incarceration, black lives matter, immigrant rights, minimum wage, education, healthcare, DAPL and why it is only now that thier pussies are under threat that they are showing up.

I walked in Oakland CA, and found a crowd that was >80% white: a few African Americans, 5 Asian Indians, no recognizable NDNs, some Asians, essentially no Latinos. I feel the white liberal movement still doesn’t get it, and the most marginalized and at risk communities know not to trust them, not until white people put their bodies on the line together with POC.

I stop to miau to cats.
