“…the biggest dream we have isn’t to encounter a civilization like our own, but one far more advanced.” Based on the encounters with European civilizations on Earth, let’s hope that if the extra-terrestrial civilizations we encounter are more technologically advanced than “us” that they are also more ethically advanced. Or we might all end up confined to a rez in Africa protesting the aliens’ Plasma Access Pipeline.
