When I saw “The Lord of the Rings”, my first reaction was “many species, one race?”. Of COURSE my white friends (even the liberal ones) didn’t get it, “It’s just a movie.” As someone else pointed out — kudos to Roddenberry and Star Trek, truly ahead of their times and ahead of ours as well.
