Your examples are evidence that racism trumps what’s good for bidness, just as Gloria Steinem’s essay a long time ago (Ms mag went looking for advertising dollars to car retailers, with data that showed that women spent more money on autos than did men, and was flat out refused) showed that sexism trumps good bidness.

So appealing to corporations or companies that they hire employees from a more diverse pool because that would be good for the bottom line misses the point. Appeal to the corporate interest won’t work, let alone on the grounds that it is the right thing to do, because the fool sitting there making the hiring decision is more interested in perpetuating their racism/misogyny than possibly improving the company’s profit.
